Image Solutions Group’s Tip

In a past workshop, speaking about First Impressions and their importance, we referred to Professor Timothy Judge and his research out of the University of Florida. His findings in part stated, “Height matters for career success.” Every extra inch is worth approximately $1000.00 a year. Tall people appear to be more confident. They are perceived to be more self-assured and successful. A point Teresa makes is that she stands 5'4". For those who don’t know, she is actually 5'2". She “Stands” 5'4". It is all in her attitude. How are you perceived?  How tall are you standing?

We can’t all be over 6' but a good attitude sure can add on the inches.

As for walking around tall, remember a little something we can do for ourselves is to invest in a good pair of quality leather shoes. Keep them in great condition — a high shine will impress. Shoes are the last thing people see when we exit a room. Care of shoes is an indicator of our attention to detail. We need to leave them with that great Impression we worked so hard to make.
